Learning to fly

Fionacat looked up longing at the dark figures soaring miles above
her head from her vantage point on top of the mushroom they looked like
tiny birds searching for food.  in reality they were realtivly huge
creatures of all sorts enjoying the freedom of the air.
she sighed longingly not noticing the stripey ferret stading beside
her.
"What's up lil' cat?" the ferret thing asked genetly.
Looking up at the ferret Fionacat smiled recognising who had spoken;
"Nothing Ruhk, it's just I look up and see all dose birdy things
flying and wanna fly to." Fionacat answered back rubbing her cheek
gently into the ferret's fur.
"Silly kitty, anyone can fly, all you have to do is flap yer paws
really hard." Ruhk said taking out a tiny paintbrush and painting
Fionacat with mutil-hued stripes.
"Really?" Fioncat asked with wide eyes, "I've always dreamed of flying
and now i can, thanks Ruhk."
Ruhk smiled evil as she saw Fionacat run off towards the bandstand
and start to climb.
"Silly kitten really believes she can fly..." Ruhk said to no one in
particular.
Fionacat climbed the bandstand, the imposing stucture towering above her
eventually she reached the white domed roof of the bandstand and stood on
top looking down at the park and trees.
"LOOK AT ME RUHK, I'M ON TOP OF THE BANDSTAND!!!" Fionacat shouted
down to the ferret in the park.
"Don't jump!!!" shouted Ruhk realising that Fionacat believed she
could fly if she flapped hard enogth.
Jumping far from the edge of the bandstand and flapping hard Fionacat
sailed towards the ground much like a leaf would do in the wind, guiding
herself with her hands she swirled around Ruhk a few times before landing
on her favourite mushroom.
Smiling happily and bouncing on the mushroom she looked up at Ruhk and
smiled "I flew..."
